You’re Always Welcome at the
Unitarian Universalist Society Of Iowa City

Historically, our liberal religion comes out of the Judeo-Christian tradition, but we draw from many teachers, sages and prophets throughout the ages. We feel that reason, personal experience and conscience should be the final authorities in religion. Ours is a non-creedal religion—truly a free faith.

We firmly believe that people should be encouraged to think for themselves, and that their differences in lifestyles and opinions should be honored by all. We are a welcoming congregation.  This summer, we share our beliefs through a series of sermons being given by members and friends of our congregation.  See what each of them believe in this link to their sermons each week.  Follow us to "Life’s Work:  Letting Your Life Speak".

Sunday Services from September through May begin at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. as well as religious education classes. During June, July and August we gather at 9:30 a.m. for our lay-led, less formal services in Channing Hall, in the lower level of our building.

Childcare and programming for children is available at all Sunday worship services. Please visit Lifespan Education to learn more. On Sundays, free parking is available in the city lot adjacent to the building, and the Tower Place ramp (on Iowa Avenue, between Linn and Gilbert Streets).

Come see for yourself! And by all means, click on the links to the left to learn more about who we are, what we believe, and what we do.
