Hsin-Hui Liu, Staff Pianist & Music Outreach Coordinator
Hello! I am Hsin-Hui (she/her).
I joined UUS in the Fall of 2021. Working as the staff pianist, I select and perform music for Sunday services and accompany the choir during rehearsals and performances. Another aspect of my position is serving as the music outreach coordinator. In this role, I organize music outreach events such as concerts that bring together local talents and accomplished musicians.
Originally from Taiwan, I have spent years pursuing my music training and degrees in various countries, including China, Canada, and the United States. In 2017, I came to Iowa City to pursue my doctoral degree, which I obtained in 2022. Apart from my work at UUS, I also serve as an adjunct faculty member at Grinnell College, where I teach piano lessons. Additionally, you can often find me performing alongside the talented musicians at the University of Iowa in Voxman throughout the academic year. In my spare time, I enjoy taking leisurely walks in parks around the city, especially when the weather is pleasant. I enjoy watching movies, animations, and indulging in delicious food.
My working hours:
- Sunday: 9 am-12:30 pm
- Monday-Wednesday: 6 pm- 9 pm
- Friday and Saturday: 9 am-12 pm
