HOPE For Us Information Session, Nov. 3
Submitted by Jeff Walberg, President of the Board of Trustees
Following the service on Nov. 3, we invite everyone to gather in Fellowship Hall for a Cuban lunch and an information session with HOPE For Us. This Lunch then Learn session will be an opportunity for the congregation to engage in dialogue over Zoom with 2-3 HOPE Us coaches as we discern as a community whether we want to engage in further work with their group. The session will run from about 11:20 to 12:30.
I wrote about this opportunity in more depth in the October newsletter, and Rev. Diana also discussed HOPE For Us in her October column. In short, we see this as an opportunity to build resilience and a greater focus on our mission and vision by engaging creatively with the tensions inherent in congregational life and in our world.
Here is a brief overview from HOPE For Us coach Jes Hunt:
“HOPE for Us provides personalized support to congregations whether they’re in the midst of conflict, healing from past tensions, or dealing with congregational patterns that play out even when we are not in conflict. By facilitating dialogue and encouraging self-awareness, we help you ensure that the congregation’s actions and decisions align with its core values. This partnership strengthens your community and keeps you focused on what truly matters. Together, we guide you through a process of proactive reflection and collaboration, so your congregation not only handles challenges but thrives beyond them.”
We hope you will join us. Let Rev. Diana or I know if you have any questions in the meantime.
In community,
Jeff Walberg, President of the Board of Trustees
