Hard Work on Biocell No.3 at UUS
Submitted by Deb Scheolerman
A group of hardworking volunteers planted 182 gallon size pots of grasses in the bio retention cell on the east side of the fellowship hall on Saturday morning, September 21st. The two grass varieties are standing ovation little bluestem and prairie dropseed. Volunteers also planted purple coneflowers in the native prairie strip, worked in the memorial garden, spread mulch, and planted ground cover in the choir corner.
Funds for this project came from the Jean Reese endowment fund and the Memorial Fund. Thank you to all who made this possible!
The Land Ministry Team.
