NATIVE PEOPLES OF IOWA: A DISCUSSION OF HISTORIC AND CONTEMPORARY ISSUES
Dr. Sebastian Braun, Associate Professor of Anthropology; Director of the American Indian Studies Program at Iowa State University. Dr. Braun will address questions such as what do we know about the Native American tribes that have inhabited our state? What are some common myths regarding native communities? What issues do American natives face today and what role can we play in advocating for fair and equitable treatment?
