Social Justice Team Day of Service
The Social Justice Team has joined with the Green Sanctuary Team to offer this Day of Service. Let’s show up for a UUS Day of Service on Saturday, September 23rd! When UUs work on Social Justice together a lot happens! Socializing, common purpose, and having fun are all a part of it, not to mention social justice! There are 3 options for sign-ups:
- 9:00 AM -12:00 PM: Plant shrubs in the biocell. In order to simplify maintenance, shrubs have been ordered to replace flowers and grasses for easier maintenance (see longer article).
- 10:00 AM -12:00 PM: Knit hats for school kids (or work on your own project) Bring needles and yarn if you have them. Some yarn will be provided.
- 10:00 AM -12:00 PM: Prepare casseroles in the great UU kitchen for the Bird House, the Hospice Home of Johnson County. (Sign up early for this one!)
